We've hand-selected a collection of fabrics that we think will make you smile. Smile because they're pretty. Smile again because they're practical, wipeable, reusable or repurposed. Now that's something to smile about.

Mexican Oilcloth
Imported Mexican Oilcloth comes in a wide array of vintage-inspired prints that we know you are going to love! Mexican Oilcloth is a printed PVC vinyl fabric that is backed with a thin, poly-cotton webbing.
Mexican Oilcloth does not require laundering and is waterproof on both sides. Just wipe up with soap and water or a mild surface spray. Avoid machine washing and drying and no ironing, please.
Our Mexican Oilcloth products are for household use only and are not intended for use as toys.

Laminated Cotton
Laminated cotton fabric is a printed woven cotton material that is coated on the "right side" with a waterproof laminate. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Wipe clean using mild soap and water.
Iron only on the "wrong" side of the fabric on a low setting. The underside or "wrong" side of the fabric is the non-slick side.
Our line of Chalkydoodles Poly's™ children's products (available in Fall 2010) are made with designer polyurethane-laminated cotton fabrics. Our Poly's™ are made with materials that meet the CPSIA guidelines for lead and phthalate content for children's products. Chalkydoodles Poly's™ products wipe up with soap and water and do not require laundering.
Chalkboard Material
Some of our products (including our original Chalky Spot™ line) feature chalkboard materials. Our chalkboard material is a flexible black material that can be written on with chalk and then erased. Wipe up with a damp cloth.
Our chalkboard material should be "seasoned" before you use it. Just wipe with the side of a piece of chalk, wipe clean and repeat. Now you're ready to Get Chalky!
Upcycled Fabric
Many of our products are made with upcycled vintage material that has been repurposed and recycled to make something old into something wonderfully brand new! Our upcycled materials range from wool to cotton felt to old quilts, duvet covers, aprons and anything else you can think of!
With the exception of clothing, most of our upcycled fabrics are spot-clean only. But, please refer to our product descriptions for specific care instructions.
Jute (Burlap)
One of our favorite fabrics is Jute, a naturally-occuring plant fiber that has been woven into a material that is lightweight, stylish and durable. Jute is increasingly being looked at as an alternative source for making paper, rather than cutting down trees for pulp.
We currently offer a Jute fabric option for our Chalky Spot™ Chalkboard Labels and will be expanding our Jute product line in the near future (Fall 2010). Jute does not require laundering and should be spot-cleaned only.
