Chalkydoodles at the Junkadoodle

Come shop with Chalkydoodles at Bettyann & Jimbo’s Junkadoodle Fall Flea Market tomorrow, Saturday, November 5 from 9-6.

The Junkadoodle is by far my favorite place to shop for fun vintage finds, shabby chic furniture and much more.  Their Flea Markets feature goods from local sellers added to the mix.

Save on your favorite Chalkydoodles oilcloth and chalkboard items, marked down for our Fall Sale and priced to move!

Also, shop our collection of vintage aprons, upcycled clothing and accessories and more!  See you at the Junkadoodle!

Read all about it!

Check out the re-post of my recent blog entry about “The Help” on the Advocate blog (Far North Dallas edition) today.  They were kind enough to post my commentary about the conversations that took place among a group of women in my neighborhood after reading “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett.

Gettin’ Chalky on National S’Mores Day!

In honor of National S’mores Day – check out our favorite chalky version of a S’mores dessert table on the Amy Atlas Events blog, Sweet Designs from back in February.

Last fall, we overnighted a set of our Jute Chalky Spot™ Chalkboard Labels a Wet-Wipe Chalk Pen and yards of our favorite taupe and brown gingham ribbon to Amy’s staff in New York City, not knowing exactly how they would appear in her styling – but very excited to find out!

Amy took our mini chalkboard labels and trimmed them with pinking sheers to create her own custom version of our chalky tags that worked perfectly for her S’mores Bar photo shoot for The Knot magazine.  You can try this same technique at home with some chalkboard vinyl and burlap fabric – or purchase our version here at Chalkydoodles.com

And in the spirit of celebration, we have to give a shout-out to our favorite chalky collaborator, Diane Sudhoff at South House Designs for her incredible work on creating the labels for the Chalkydoodles shop.  You’re the best, Diane!

Happy National S’mores day to you!  Now go eat some marshmallow-covered chocolate.
